The ladies of "American Idol" had their first performance in the Top 24 last night -- and one of them got the season's first standing ovation!
New York native got Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler on their feet on Thursday after singing The Pretenders' hit "I"ll Stand By You."
"You just put yourself in the top with those amazing performances," Randy said following her performance ... with J.Lo adding "You were saving that for when it counts. It was out of this world."
Other top performers included Thia Megia, Lauren Alaina and Karen Rodriguez, who sang a Spanglish version of "Hero."
The girls will be back on TV tonight, along with the guys -- where the Top 24 will be cut in half.
