20 years ago today one of the best witch movies ever hit the big screens: "Hocus Pocus."
Starring Bette Midler, a pre-"Sex and the City" Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the evil Sanderson Sisters, the film opened against "Jurassic Park 3D," "The Firm," "In the Line of Fire" and "Free Willy" on July 16, 1993.
And while it probably would have done better at the box office if it had been released in October instead of the summer (seriously, what was Disney thinking?!), the movie went on to become a Halloween staple on TV and home video.
