Jennifer Aniston is keeping it real!
The "We Are the Millers" star graces the September cover of Glamour magazine where she opens up about dealing with her divorce from Brad Pitt, her fiance Justin Theroux and having maternal instincts.
Jen's "We Are the Millers" costar/friend Jason Sudeikis interviews her in the new issue and gets personal as they chat about dealing with divorce and moving on.
Aniston, very publicly, went through a divorce almost 10 years ago when she split from Pitt -- and if she could give her 30-year-old self any advice (now that she's 44), she has three words: Go to therapy!
"Thirties. Thirties. Go to therapy. Clean up all of the sh-t. Clean up all of the toxins and the noise. Understand who you are. Educate yourself on the self," she says.
While Aniston is in a much better place today -- she believes that happiness is a choice.
Adding, "[But] you can undo a lot of things. If you're not happy, you can become happy. Happiness is a choice. That's the thing I really feel. Like with friends who refuse to get happy, who refuse to rise above the discomfort of where they're at," she tells the mag.
The former "Friends" star knows she deserves to be happy and to have a family one day. Which is why she believes Justin is the perfect match for her.
"[She would say to herself] You actually deserve to have a family. And once you meet yourself, and truly love yourself, then you attract that. And look -- I mean, the two of us have found these two, beautiful, loving, open people," Aniston tells Jason.
Jason also notes that Jen had very maternal instincts onset, while dealing with costar Emma Roberts. He also believes that women are more naturally inclined to be "better at that."
"I think that's just you [Jason]! I know Justin, for instance, has extremely amazing paternal instincts. Because [growing up] he had to sort of become the parent. I think when you have to become the parent when you're a younger person, you learn those instincts," she explains.
Adding about her own maternal nature, Jen says "I think I've done it all throughout my life."
