Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are reallllly trying to prove they're not breaking up.
Though reports of a split picked up serious steam over the weekend, the two put on a united front today in NYC -- holding hands and smiling as they left "Today" together after Spelling did an interview with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee.
While Dean stayed backstage, he did come up during Tori's morning show sit down.
When asked if McDermott was a dependable hubby during her hospitalization, she said she saw all the gossip that he wasn't ... and it couldn't be further from the truth.
"Dean was amazing. I read all of this as well. He was by my side daily. He proved it, he was home taking care of four kids, he really stepped up. He has, in a big way," she said.
And though Dean says he's done with the couple's reality show, "True Tori," Spelling says she still enjoys doing it.
"I personally like doing it, for me it works," she says. "I know it's individual, it's not for everyone. I came from a family that didn't talk about emotions, we repressed things. This was a vehicle for me to feel like a safe atmosphere where I could share and it's cathartic. It's therapy for me."
It's unclear if the series will continue for another season, but both Tori and Dean will be in all of the remaining episodes for Season Two. In this past weekend's episode, McDermott really expressed his anger towards the series -- saying all it's done has made him look like a bad guy.
This morning, Spelling also used her appearance to show off her new 'do -- as the 41-year-old debuted gray hair extensions. It's an odd look ... but she seems happy with it.
"I need something clean and new and fresh," she says of the look.
