See More Brutal Celebrity Feuds

Looks like Vin Diesel is trying to stay above the drama.

While it's been confirmed that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was blasting Vin when he called at least one of his "Fast 8" co-stars "chicken s---" and "candy asses" in a scathing social media post earlier this month, Diesel hasn't taken the bait.

Instead, the 49-year-old franchise star took to his own Facebook page to give the wrestler-turned-actor major props for his work in the series.

After thanking fans for their support of the films during a Facebook Live video, Vin went on to explain how Johnson ended up joining the fray.

"The reason we brought Dwayne Johnson into 'Fast 5' was because of you!" Diesel said. "There was a girl named Jan Kelly who said, 'I would love to see you work together on screen.' So the role that was originally written for Tommy Lee Jones, we gave it to Dwayne and he shined in it."

"When I think about how fortunate I am and how blessed I am, it's hard for me not to recognize how much all of you have affected those blessings," he added. "And how much you all attributed to me feeling so fortunate. Know this, without you, I would not be doing Fast 8."

The compliment for The Rock comes after Johnson seemingly shaded Vin once again over the weekend. After wrapping filming with the cast, he took to Instagram to thank some of the flick's cast -- and a couple names were noticeably absent.

"Finished strong and on to the next. That's an officially wrap on #FastAndFurious8. Thank you to our director @fgarygray for the vision and execution. Thank you UNIVERSAL for being tremendous partners as always, thank you to all my fellow co-stars for the daily effort and grind," he wrote, before naming a few co-workers.

"Scott Eastwood you handsome sumbitch! Natalie Emmanuel [sic] I have a cold Budweiser ready for you and Tyrese Gibson you still have the biggest smile and forehead I've ever seen," he added. "And a huge THANK YOU to our hard working production crew - the backbone of our business. Your kind words meant a lot to me last night - thank you! In the end, we all rallied, as great teams do, kicked ass and will deliver an amazing movie to the world. Proud of our entire FAST FAMILY."

That's right ... no love for series regulars Vin, Michelle Rodriguez or Ludacris.

And now in two weeks I'll reunite with ol' friends Kevin Hart & Jack Black and we have the honor to introduce a whole new generation to the amazing world of #JUMANJI. *(for the record we are NOT making a reboot, but rather a continuation of the awesome JUMANJI story). It's also crazy to me how much me, Kev and Jack look like triplets when we're together. πŸ‘ΆπŸ½πŸ‘ΆπŸ»πŸ‘ΆπŸΏ.
