Blake Lively gave her fans some additional insight on why she chose to participate in this weekend's Women's March, saying she wasn't driven by "hate."
The actress posted a photograph on Instagram Sunday night showing her with a young girl in a wheelchair carrying a sign reading, "Hey, Trump – Let's Make America Kind Again. 2016 and beyond."
"I marched for my daughters, for my friends, for strangers, for myself, for Phoebe here in this picture who I met as she motivated everyone she came across," Lively captioned the photo.
"My march wasn't driven by hate," the former "Gossip Girl" star continued. "It was rooted in a very simple fact – we are all equal. I believe everyone can agree on that. Thank you to everyone who marched all over the world. I felt so hopeful and deeply grateful. #whyimarch"
The actress was amongst many A-listers who joined the movement in protests and rallies around the world this weekend. Lively even met up with her "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" co-star Amber Tamblyn at one point -- see all the celebrity sightings above.
