The Scooby Gang is together again.
The entire cast of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reunited for Entertainment Weekly's new cover story, as the group staged a photoshoot to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary.
Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz, Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter, Seth Green, Nicholas Brendon, James Marsters, Emma Caulfield, Kristine Sutherland, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amber Benson and creator Joss Whedon all took part in the shoot, while Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) and Faith (Eliza Dushku) were unfortunately MIA.
"It's the ultimate metaphor," Gellar said of the series, which followed the titular character for seven seasons as she battled "vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness."
"It was utilizing the horrors of adolescence manifested through these actual monsters," she continued. "I think that everyone going through, that's the hardest time of life. And to understand you're not alone in that."
"You ultimately hope to do something that resonates," added SMG. "For all of us here, we have been a part of something that's bigger than us. It's all you can ever really hope for, I think."
Hannigan called the experience "a gift of an acting job" and a "role of a lifetime." "I met the love of my life [costar Alexis Denisof] and just to get to go to work every day and have Joss sort of train me — I'll never have a better experience than that."
