The first trailer for "Star wars: The Last Jedi" has dropped, and the internet is going to need a minute.
The long-awaited teaser for the eighth "Star Wars" film was released during the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida on Friday, and it immediately became the biggest trending topic for the weekend. Featuring Luke Skywalker training Rey, glimpses of the Millennium Falcon and Carrie Fisher's General Leia, and tantalizing shots of Finn, Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren, the 2:12 minute clip was enough to make all the feels from 2015's "The Force Awakens" come flooding back.
Beyond the initial rush of "OMG OMG OMG," most reactions have been full of excitement as people pick apart the trailer shot by shot.

"Excitement" might not be the right word for the trailer's last line, in which Luke Skywalker says it's time for the Jedi to... sorry, to what now?
Lucasfilm: Wanna know what we're gonna give Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi?— carol îmwe (@carxlinv) April 14, 2017
Me: no, what
Not everybody was a fan of the trailer's slow, mystical tone, however.
Oh good, another portentous Star Wars movie full of talk about jedis and British leads. No one has any idea why Star Wars '77 was fun— Michael Gebert (@skyfullofbacon) April 14, 2017
THIS. The key to Star Wars is...it was a comedy action-adventure picture. https://t.co/fo8nwU88Iu— John Podhoretz (@jpodhoretz) April 14, 2017
First 47 seconds of #TheLastJedi trailer sounds like a yoga class. The next 49 sec are boring. The last 10 sec are "oh cool spaceships".— Graeme McLaughlin (@GraemeMcL5) April 14, 2017
The new Star Wars trailer doesn't really hype the film up that much. Nothing really that shocking #TheLastJedi— Mark Jones (@The_MarkJones) April 14, 2017
new star wars trailer is......a bit underwhelming honestly. i expected more from rian johnson. still first ep 7 trailer was bad too so— Samantha Gruber (@ohboyafangirl) April 14, 2017
Eager or skeptical, pretty much everyone agreed that it would be a real bummer if President Trump starts a nuclear war with North Korea before we even get to see the movie.
Ayo North Korea, I’ma need y’all to chill at least until December 15th #TheLastJedi— Dino (@Rhymestyle) April 14, 2017
I love how the #StarWars producers give us hope that we'll all still be here in December.— Scott Weinberg (@scottEweinberg) April 14, 2017

But for real #TheLastJedi looks dope and if we can just hold off on WWIII until after December that'd be dope too— jacksfilms (@jacksfilms) April 14, 2017
