Say so long to "The Originals," because the CW show is coming to an end.
Before heading to Comic-Con for the series' panel this weekend, showrunner Julie Plec posted a message to fans on Twitter announcing that Season 5 will be final season for the show.

Plec and Co. announced the final season of "The Vampire Diaries" -- the show that "Originals" was spun-off from -- at last year's convention. "Diaries" ended its eight season run back in March.
The news comes after TV Line confirmed Candice King will reprise her role as Caroline Forbes in the Season 5 premiere.
The series will return sometime in 2018.
