Taylor Swift appeared in court Thursday morning to testify against a radio DJ who allegedly groped her during a meet and greet in 2013, and her testimony was definition clapback.
DJ David "Jackson" Mueller maintained that Swift's accusations were false and that they cost him his career at Denver radio station KYGO, so he filed a defamation lawsuit against her in 2015. Swift ended up counter-suing for exactly $1 because she wanted to "serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts."
Swift's testimony was filled with standing O-worthy slights to Mueller.
Here are her best lines...
When it was suggested that Swift should be more critical of her bodyguard for not having intervened during the alleged incident...
"I'm critical of your client sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass."
When she contradicted Mueller's testimony...
"He did not touch my rib, he did not touch my hand, he grabbed my bare ass."
When Mueller called her "cold"...
"I am not surprised I have a new and uncanny ability to elicit new types of criticism."
When it was brought up that Mueller lost his job over the incident...
"I am not going to allow your client to make me feel like it is any way my fault because it isn't."
When the possibility was suggested that Mueller may not have been the person who groped her...
"He had a handful of my ass. I know it was him. I wouldn't need that photograph. I could have picked him out of a line of a thousand."
When asked why the front of her skirt wasn't lifted in the photo ...
