Taylor Swift basically shut down the internet on Thursday night with her highly anticipated release, "Look What You Made Me Do," but she wasn't the only one who dropped a new banger.
Chanel, who writes all her own music, collaborated with Safaree on her latest hit, "New Bae," which she said was inspired by "a bad ex-boyfriend."
"I heard the beat, and I just started writing about my ex-boyfriend," she told TooFab. "I kind of have this habit of combining things, so it's not specifically about one person. I've had a few bad relationships, so I kind of combined a few traits from each one. 'New Bae' is about moving on and having a new bae and forgetting about the ex quickly because I think a lot of girls tend to hang on and wait around. It's like, 'f-ck you, I don't need to wait around for you, I'm on to the next.'"
Mimi's hit this week is actually a cover of French Montana's insanely popular summer song, "Unforgettable," and her take on it is simply unforgettable.
