Ivanka Trump's Most Stylish Moments

"I was really into Nirvana" and wore "ripped corduroy jeans," the President's daughter writes in her mother's upcoming book.

Apparently, our poised and polished First Daughter once had a "punk phase" where she raged against the Establishment -- or at least listened to a lot of Nirvana and once dyed her hair blue.

In her mother Ivana Trump's upcoming memoir 'Raising Trump,' Ivanka chimes in for a chapter and writes that she wasn't always into sheath dresses and private jets -- she was once a rebellious, super-relatable teenager, just like the rest of us.

"During my punk phase in the nineties, I was really into Nirvana," she said. "My wardrobe consisted of ripped corduroy jeans and flannel shirts. One day after school, I dyed my hair blue. Mom wasn't a fan of this decision. She took one look at me and immediately went out to the nearest drugstore to buy a $10 box of Nice'n Easy. That night, she forced me to dye my hair back to blond."

Ironically, this resulted in Ivanka becoming more golden-haired than ever: "The color she picked out was actually three shades lighter than my natural color... and I have never looked back!" (The Cut points out that it seems difficult to remove hair dye and go three shades lighter using drugstore products, and suspects there was actually an expensive salon trip involved.)

Trump also said she was heartbroken when Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide. "It was a shock and I was distraught. Mom had no idea who Kurt Cobain was, and she sympathized only so much. After twenty-four hours of my crying inconsolably in my room, alone -- major melodrama -- Mom had to pull me out of there to go down to dinner."

The idea of Ivanka calling herself "punk" was too much for most of the internet to handle, and people have been making a snarky meme out of it since Tuesday evening. See some of the most savage reactions so far below.
