Blake Shelton Named People's Sexiest Man Alive And Twitter Is Not Having It

34 Sexier Men Alive Than Blake Shelton

"Blake Shelton is about as sexy as a gluten free saltine cracker," says one critic.

Country superstar Blake Shelton was named People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2017 and the Internet has a few thoughts about it.

Shelton was humbled when he heard the news, telling the mag, "Y'all must be running out of people," and crediting girlfriend of two years Gwen Stefani with convincing him to accept the honor.

But the real highlight for Shelton was getting to rub it in "Voice" co-star Adam Levine's face. "I can’t wait to shove this up Adam's ass,” Shelton said. "As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that's really the only thing I care about."

The magazine helped him do just that, filming a video where he drove his "Voice" co-star -- and 2013's "Sexiest Man Alive" -- blindfolded to the side of a building to unveil a larger-than-life rendition of the new cover.

While Shelton had his supporters -- and none louder than Shelton himself -- many others were vocally confused by People's choice, and offered some alternatives of their own through Twitter.
