CBS's "S.W.A.T." team is on the hunt for more devices after a domestic bomber dies in an explosion.
CBS audiences were left heartbroken when Shemar Moore exited from "Criminal Minds" after 12 years, but they've proven their loyalty by supporting his latest project, "S.W.A.T.," which premieres a new episode on Thanksgiving and TooFab has an exclusive clip.
The freshman drama series, recently picked up for a full season order of 20 episodes to air Thursday nights at 10 p.m., follows Southern California native Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson (Moore) who was recently promoted as leader of a diverse S.W.A.T in Los Angeles.
Even though Hondo seems to handle his transition with ease, complications arise due to a secret relationship with his direct superior Jessica Cortez (Stephanie Sigman), his promotion over fellow team member David "Deacon" Kay (Jay Harrington) due to a technicality as well as handling bad boy Jim Street (Alex Russell) who recently joined the team after transferring from Long Beach.
Hondo's dealings with Street have been a bit of a burden as the latter proves he can't fully be trusted just yet, which makes things a little messy. But no matter what, the team is determined to operate as a family. This works particularly well for those who can't seem to count on relatives like Street, whose mother is currently incarcerated, and the only female member of the crew, Christina "Chris" Alonso, who has proven to be quite a mystery thus far. It's really no surprise that since the premiere episode, Chris and Street have gravitated towards each other. There's definitely a connection between them though the writers have not yet made it obvious whether this could lead to love in the future.
In this exclusive clip from CBS, we see the duo investigate a case on a college campus from Thursday night's episode titled, "Radical." Two students have been radicalized and the team is hot on their trail after an explosion puts innocents in harm's way. Can they stop them before another bomb goes off?
