"When I saw the documentary 'Blackfish' it literally changed my entire life. I found my passion and I found my voice and I will not stop until any place like SeaWorld is completely shut down," Kent says.
"Vanderpump Rules" stars Lala Kent, Scheana Marie and Ariana Madix might be at each other's throats in Bravo's upcoming season, but the three ladies have put their differences aside to team up with PETA and advocate for releasing the Orcas into seaside sanctuaries.
"When I saw the documentary 'Blackfish' it literally changed my entire life," Kent said in PETA's video. "I found my passion and I found my voice and I will not stop until any place like SeaWorld is completely shut down."
As TooFab exclusively reported, the trio protested the theme park and the inhumane treatment of whales by stripping completely nude and posing in paint that symbolized an Orca whale.
"There's a better way to do this and we know the better way so why not do it," Madix said.
This isn't the first time the three reality stars stood up for animal rights. All three of the ladies have volunteered their time at the Lisa Vanderpump owned and operated dog rescue center, Vanderpump Dogs. Madix and Kent have been vocal about their love of animals both on and off the show, with the former even going to Vanderpump's home last season to ride horses.
SeaWorld's last captive-born baby orca, Kyara, died July 24 in the park's San Antonio location. According to the park, Kyara died as a result of complications from an infection. The exact cause of her death cannot be determined until after a full post-mortem exam, but park officials believe it was likely bacterial pneumonia, which also killed Tilikum, the 36-year-old captive orca and "Blackfish" subject that died at the start of 2017.
