"It's better than not having anything at all," the "RHOA" star tells her Instagram followers.

Kim Zolciak Biermann is doing whatever she can to ensure her own kids safety after 17 people were killed in Parkland, Florida shooting at a school Wednesday.

"I just asked Kroy [Biermann] what can we do as parents to protect our children every day in this crazy sad world," the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star said in an Instagram caption. "He said, 'Best thing we could do for now is get bulletproof book bags' you know I just did!"

"It's better than not having anything at all," she added. "Just thought I would share with you guys. I just found this first on Amazon so I bought it. It's certified."

The Instagram opst showcased a screenshot of a Guard Dog Security ProShield 2 Bulletproof Backpack.

Zolciak Biermann has six kids: Brielle, 20, Arianna 16, Kroy, 6, Kash, 5, and twins Kane and Kaia, 4.

Wednesday's tragedy was the third deadliest school shooting in U.S. history.

A gunman -- identified as former student Nikolas Cruz -- opened fire inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida resulting in "numerous fatalities." At least 17 people were killed. The shooter, who opened fire with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, has been released from the hospital and is now in custody.
