Bonet played one of Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable's children on the "Cosby Show."
Lisa Bonet may not have necessarily known what Bill Cosby was doing behind closed doors when she played his daughter on "The Cosby Show," but she did know there was an off-putting energy about him she could never quite put her finger on.
Bonet, who played Denise Huxtable on "The Cosby Show" from 1984-1991, told PorterEdit she sensed an unavoidable "sinister, shadow energy" during her time on the NBC sitcom.
"There was no knowledge on my part about [Bill Cosby's] specific actions, but... There was just energy," she explained. "And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed."
"If I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago," she added. "That's my nature. The truth will set you free."
Cosby is currently awaiting an April retrial over accusations that he drugged and then molested former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in 2004.
"I don't need to say 'I told you so,'" Bonet said. "I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be."
