Lifetime's imaginary version of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's private courtship is coming to a TV near you this spring.
The first teaser trailer for the made-for-TV movie shows the moment Harry proposed to Markle -- or at least, shows some version of it imagined by whoever Lifetime hired to write what we can only assume will be another scripted train wreck.
"I don’t need my life to be this perfect royal picture, I just need you," Harry (Murray Fraser) tells Markle (Parisa Fitz-Henley) in the teaser, as he gets down on one knee. It may be the best moment of the whole movie, because it actually is kind of sweet.
Lifetime previously announced that the film will include the likes of Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the younger generation of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
"Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance" debuts on May 13, a week before the real-life wedding takes over pop culture on May 19.
