The porn star offered details of her affair with Donald Trump, and the threats she's received in an effort to silence her.
Stormy Daniels finally got to speak her piece in a sit-down interview with Anderson Cooper on "60 Minutes" Sunday night about her alleged affair with Donald Trump, and it certainly looks like Hollywood tuned in.
Many celebrities took to Twitter throughout the evening to comment on the highly anticipated interview with the porn star who alleges she's been the victim of threats and intimidation tactics to keep silent. Lena Dunham was among those seemingly standing in Daniels' corner, calling her "powerful," while Alec Baldwin was slightly critical. "No offense to Stormy Daniels, but that interview provides no worthwhile insights into 'the problem,'" he tweeted. Bette Midler called the TV special "riveting," and Patricia Arquette applauded her for having "the balls" to do interview knowing Trump's legal team would come after her.
Aside from detailing some of the more lurid and sensational claims of her alleged one-night stand with the president, including magazine spanking, lack of a condom and the fact she didn't want to sleep with him, Daniels also talked about a man she says threatened her in a Las Vegas parking lot, and how Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, is now doggedly suing her for violating the terms of a non-disclosure agreement she signed, even as she asserts it is invalid because Trump never penned his signature on the document.
Most of Hollywood's elite appeared to be standing in Daniels' corner, with many believing that this is just the beginning of a headache for the White House. As Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti pointed out on "60 Minutes" and elsewhere, this isn't about the sex so much as it's about the cover-up and intimidation tactics used to try and silence Daniels.
Below are some of the more pointed -- and funniest -- tweets in response to the Stormy Daniels interview. While Donald Trump has never said her name directly in a tweet, he did tweet that "Fake News" has "never been more voluminous or more inaccurate" on Monday morning, which certainly could be related. Also of note, Melania Trump's spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, sent out a tweet Monday morning asking the media to please keep Melania's son's name out of their stories, without addressing any of the particulars of the story itself.
So much Fake News. Never been more voluminous or more inaccurate. But through it all, our country is doing great!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 26, 2018
While I know the media is enjoying speculation & salacious gossip, Id like to remind people there’s a minor child who’s name should be kept out of news stories when at all possible.— Stephanie Grisham (@StephGrisham45) March 26, 2018
One has a sense that the Stormy Daniels interview tonight was but the first squalls of a gathering tempest.— Dan Rather (@DanRather) March 26, 2018
The Stormy Daniels story isn't about Trump having an affair with a porn star. That's not news. It is about his campaign trying to threaten, intimidate and illegally use campaign funds to buy her silence just weeks before the election. Don't let the lurid details overshadow this.— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) March 25, 2018
Yes, I am. Nice to meet ya! https://t.co/kUdVLRWwu0— Stormy Daniels (@StormyDaniels) March 26, 2018
First Karen McDougal this week, now Stormy Daniels - poor Anderson Cooper hasn’t been made to think about pussy this much his entire life!— Bill Maher (@billmaher) March 26, 2018

With the country’s fate hanging in the balance it feels very wrong to ask for no Stormy Daniels spoilers and yet here I am— 💎 Lena Dunham 💎 (@lenadunham) March 26, 2018
I’m just glad I’m getting rest from being called a whore today 👍🏻 #StormyDanielsDay— Jenna Jameson (@jennajameson) March 25, 2018

From now on, if you're going to watch porn, please watch Stormy Daniels so we can get her paid for how hard she's going to get sued by the president tomorrow.— Whitney Cummings (@WhitneyCummings) March 26, 2018
To everyone minimizing @StormyDaniels interview. I doubt any one of you would have the balls to do it. Knowing that you would be sued.— Patricia Arquette (@PattyArquette) March 26, 2018
No offense to Stormy Daniels, but that interview provides no worthwhile insights into “the problem.” Nothing.— ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) March 26, 2018
The only solution to “the problem “ is to organize.
And then vote his lying, corrupt, incompetent ass out of office.
November is coming...
60 minutes reveals more of same -trump a gangster - engages world through gangster ethics - totaly unfit for office - not worth mentioning all the laws he breaks as there’s too many to number- a vast pattern /picture of a deranged criminal who must be removed from power -now— John Cusack (@johncusack) March 26, 2018
Hearing Stormy Daniels talk about how she didn’t want to sleep with Trump but did made me feel sad.— amber ruffin (@ambermruffin) March 26, 2018
Going to someone’s room with them is not an agreement to have sex.
Consent has no point of no return. You can say no whenever it stops being fun.
Lots of Stormy Daniels jokes over the last few months, but seeing her talking about how difficult this has been for her child is heartbreaking.— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 25, 2018
