A few members of the Marvel family have David Hogg's back after he calls for a boycott on the Fox News host.
UPDATE at 10:20pm PT on 3/29: After getting serious backlash online, Laura Ingraham apologized for her remarks.
Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. @DavidHogg111. On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland. For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David...(1/2)— Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) March 29, 2018

Original story below ...
Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg sparked a revolution against Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Wednesday night, after she criticized him for "whining" about not getting accepted into four colleges to which he applied.
The conservative TV personality -- who was similarly slammed for telling Kevin Durant and LeBron James to "shut up and dribble" earlier this year -- has been called out by Avengers Chris Evans and Don Cheadle, "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn and celebrities including Alyssa Milano and George Takei.
Here's the tweet that prompted the backlash:
David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates.) https://t.co/wflA4hWHXY— Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) March 28, 2018
Her tweet was in response to an interview Hogg did with TMZ, where he said, "It's not been too great for me and some of the other members of the movement ... it's been kind of annoying having to deal with that and everything else that's been going on but at this point, you know, we're changing the world. We're too busy. Right now it's hard to focus on that."
Hogg responded to the message on Wednesday night with a call to action, asking for a boycott on her advertisers. His tweet has generated 28k retweets and 59k likes in just 13 hours.

With Hogg's tweets gaining traction online, here's how Hollywood has thrown their support behind the young activist:
What is the purpose of this tweet? What is wrong with you? Are you actually proud of this? Regardless of your political beliefs and motivations, THIS is how you choose to present yourself? You must be so sad, angry and scared. https://t.co/pvuSyx4OMd— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) March 29, 2018
I’m really looking forward to season two of Handmaid’s Tale so I hope @hulu stops advertising on the Aunt Lydia show - uh, I mean, on the Laura Ingraham show, so I can watch it. Online bullying & shaming of teenagers should not be supported by Hulu. Let them know.— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 29, 2018

Hey, Laura! I’m not sure why you have such animosity for David, but maybe just scream into a pillow instead of publicly attacking a mass shooting survivor. @davidhogg111 is actually shifting a narrative that was fossilized by out of touch people like you. What did you do today? https://t.co/prxGOsYSrv— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) March 29, 2018

Why do corps like @att or @hulu think it's "safe" to support this kind of abusive, hateful programming aimed at defaming & harassing kids who survived a mass murder? I mean, can @AisForOrg get a sponsorship from y'all? Or is abortion too "controversial"? https://t.co/feCcCmnk0Q— Martha Plimpton (@MarthaPlimpton) March 29, 2018
These Parkland kids are NOT messing around. I think Laura Ingraham is outmatched and doesn’t know it. Even the Pope has these kids’ backs. https://t.co/PSLNmDdXYh— Nicolle Wallace (@NicolleDWallace) March 29, 2018

Hey @IngrahamAngle it says in your profile you’re a mom. Yet you attack children who survived a devastating mass shootings. SIXTEEN parents will NEVER see their babies again. You should apologize...I hope you are fired immediately.— tara strong (@tarastrong) March 29, 2018
What a loser you are, Laura. https://t.co/tP5RBDpT7J— devon sawa (@DevonESawa) March 29, 2018
@IngrahamAngle David was not whining. I called him about the story. He was not feeling sorry for himself in the slightest. It was my idea that colleges should consider applicants who are so committed. Did you watch the video???— Harvey Levin (@HarveyLevinTMZ) March 28, 2018
