Kim makes Kanye tweet out an amendment to his initial praise of President Trump.
Kanye West sent Twitter into a frenzy this past weekend when he expressed admiration for one of Donald Trump's biggest cheerleaders, but he took things a step further Wednesday morning by flat out tweeting his "love" for the president -- and the reaction was swift.
"You don't have to agree with Trump, but the mob can't make me not love him," Kanye tweeted. "We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."
Rosie O'Donnell, who Trump famously called a "pig," was but a drop in a sea of disapproval flowing in the replies to Kanye's latest rant. "He's a f-cking moron, Kanye -- wake up from the illusion," she tweeted. Perez Hilton also replied, "You only love Donald Trump because Barack Obama called you a jackass!"
But our favorite reaction, so far, was from Kanye himself, who suggested his own wife, Kim Kardashian, was disturbed by the tweet.
my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
She later tweeted herself, defending her husband from some of the criticism thrown his way:
To the media trying to demonize my husband let me just say this... your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
Yesterday it was announced that Kanye had parted ways with some business people and media outlets made this about Kanye’s mental health. Rather than just a simple business decision. So I’m glad he tweeted about the state of his company and all of the exciting things happening— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America? Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair. He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
Now when he spoke out about Trump... Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this. But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
He never said he agrees with his politics
Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him and in a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is and you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
Mental Health is no joke and the media needs to stop spitting that out so casually. Bottom line— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
See the rest of Kanye's Trump tweet storm below:
If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
I love Hillary too.
I love when people have their own ideas. You don't have to be allowed anymore. Just be.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
Love who you want to love. That's free thought. I'm not even political. I'm not a democrat or a republican
And also I'm all the way out the sunken place. And I'm not scared anymore. I'm not scared of the media. I'm not scared of the past and I'm optimistic about the future. This tweet is in love not fear.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
with love I am invincible. Truth is subjective but love is the most powerful force in the world and the world needs to express more of it.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
I said express love more because we have love but we don't express it. My friend Tmills will always say "I love you" and it used to make me feel weird to hear that. Now I tell everyone I love them. He sparked me to start expressing love more.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
When my daughter acts out she actually says afterwards I just want to hear you say I love you more.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
no race religion region or political party can argue with the power of love— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
fear takes strategy Unlearn linear thinking Hit you with these zig zag thoughts— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
decentralize— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018

we got love pic.twitter.com/Edk0WGscp6— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
Users on Twitter didn't hesitate to give their opinions about the rapper's tweets, many saying Kanye shouldn't of come back to Twitter at all. Read some reactions below.
I guess I’m equally as crazy as @kanyewest because I really feel most of his tweets lol— Chanel (@chanelwestcoast) April 25, 2018
me watching people only just now cancel kanye like they shouldn’t have forever ago pic.twitter.com/10PFMS230y— corri (@bisexuaIbaek) April 25, 2018

Who allowed Kanye back to Twitter ??— 💫 (@missminervaa) April 25, 2018
I did not see Kanye taking over as WH Communications Director. Crazy week. Draft jitters.— Kenny Mayne (@Kenny_Mayne) April 25, 2018
Kim when she saw Kanye’s tweets about Trump. https://t.co/BWcNRY92Xo— victoria sanusi (@victoriasanusi) April 25, 2018
the 2020 election will be trump & kanye west vs cardi b and bernie sanders— أسود (@nasmarai) April 25, 2018
A lot of people are dropping Kanye like a bag of hot potatoes.— Maria Macrae (@maryanne_macrae) April 25, 2018
I’ve 💛 Kanye since I can remember. I don’t care if his beliefs are different to my own or if he’s Liberal/Republican. While he isn’t judging myself & others like the rest of Hollywood he has my support.#KanyeWest
#KanyeWest turns out to be an actual conservative supporter & is running for President #2024.— Noah🌊Resistance (@IsNoahGomez) April 25, 2018
I suddenly do not support.
I never said I don’t love him anymore. I said I miss the old kanye...— Ez (@iamkidretroo) April 25, 2018
Kanye is a delusional self-indulgent prick, so I understand why he likes Trump.— Luke Red (@LukeRedjayhawk) April 25, 2018
Now I’m imaging Kim chasing Kanye around one of their mansions with a rolling pin https://t.co/lCHbwyoWtg— Patrick Monahan (@pattymo) April 25, 2018
In all seriousness, it’s genuinely sad to see Kanye’s downward spiral in this way. A decade ago I found him to be one of the most thoughtful & self-reflective creatives out there. He seemed so self-aware of his relationship to the world, now he seems profoundly untethered.— Clint Smith (@ClintSmithIII) April 25, 2018
kanye really went from “george bush doesn’t care about black people”— 🖤 (@ZEPHANIIIAH) April 25, 2018

However, there were some Trump supporters that were happy about Kanye's tweets.
Wow. Kanye West's sudden contribution is a cultural earthquake.— Vachel Lindsay (@_VachelLindsay_) April 25, 2018
And I particularly admire the way he is explaining his stance, as one for independent thinking.
If he sustains it, it will move millions of African-Americans toward Trump and #MAGA 👇
The Dems are freaking out 👇 https://t.co/bTDOxCh2Vo
YASSSSSSS‼️@kanyewest is woke, he is woke to independent thought & against group think.— Mary💋🇺🇸 (@AmericanHotLips) April 25, 2018
Open your minds folks.....love your country‼️🇺🇸💪🏼#wednesdaythoughts #WednesdayWisdom #MAGA pic.twitter.com/NIZooUO11J
