Internet investigators everywhere were on high alert after Kendall Jenner posted a photo to Instagram on Thursday in which she seemingly blurred out Kacey Musgraves' face on a banner behind her.
The act did not sit well with fans of the country singer, who was promoting her latest album, "Golden Hour," in the obscured image.

Musgraves caught wind of the post, screenshooting it in an Instagram story where she then blurred out Jenner's face. Savage move, right?

Musgraves' supporters quickly hopped aboard the petty train, tweeting things like, "Kacey Musgraves blurring out Kendall Jenner's face, because Kendall blurred out Kacey's face first is going to propel me through 2018" and "KENDALL BLURRED A BILLBOARD OF KACEY MUSGRAVES OUT OF HER INSTAGRAM PHOTO SO KACEY BLURRED KENDALL'S WHOLE FACE OUT."

Eventually, Kendall got onto Twitter to try and clear things up.
"Yoooo, I was working all day and didn't edit this photo!" Jenner wrote. "Kacey is literally my f-ckin' fav! 'Space Cowboy,' 'I Miss You,' 'Keep It To Yourself,' 'FOLLOW YOUR ARROW'!! Bangers!! Ask anyone of my homies. I die for her!"
