Is he trying to send another message to his former flame? Sure looks like it.
The very public split between John Cena and Nikki Bella continues to play out in front of a worldwide audience, with updates in new interviews, tweets and, yes, even a "Say Anything" reference on Instagram.
With all this leading up to the premiere of the new season of "Total Bellas," which will shed a light on what cause the breakup in the first place, their separation is literally everywhere!
Cena seemingly tweeted about the break on Thursday morning, giving some possibly insight into their issues. "Lack of communication is many times what causes people to drift apart," he wrote, adding, "lack of forgiveness is many times what causes people to stay apart."
He followed that up with a photo of a classic John Cusack moment from the 1989 movie "Say Anything," showing his character professing his love to Ione Skye by holding a boombox in the air blasting their song.
Cena's latest comments come after another round of TV interviews on Wednesday for Bella.
When asked what it would take to fix things between the WWE stars after the split, Nikki told ET, "Time. It's going to take time. Honestly, only time can tell."
"John is absolutely an amazing man, he's such a sweetheart, and I truly love him so much. He's my best friend. But I think, a lot of us that go through the wedding process, we kind of have to face ... we're forced to face these issues we have hiding deep down inside and I just know that a healthy me will be a healthy us," she also said on "TODAY."
"I do have hope for our future, but I know right now I need to work on me and before I do say those vows and walk down that aisle, I don't want to be hesitant, I don't want to be regretful," she continued. "I think when you sacrifice for so long, it's like, you can give so much and you kind of get tired of giving and someone wants to give it back and you just already feel exhausted."
The new season of "Total Bellas" premieres May 20 on E!
