The actor is also confident Trump's wife loves his "SNL" portrayal of the president.
The actor who portrays President Trump on "Saturday Night Live" swung by Howard Stern's SiriusXM show this week, and spilled that he's heard from multiple sources that First Lady Melania enjoys watching clips of his impressions online, saying, "That's him, that's him!"
Earlier on in the interview, though, Stern floated Baldwin as a potential Democratic candidate to take on Trump in the next presidential election.
"If I ran, I would win. I would absolutely win. 1,000 percent," Baldwin said.
Now, let's be clear -- he did not say he actually is going to run. In fact, he joked the two things stopping him are his wife and his gig hosting "The Match Game" on ABC. But that didn't stop him from fantasizing about what his campaign would be like.
"If I ran for president, I would win. Hands down, I would win," he continued. "It would be the funniest, most exciting, craziest campaign."
His platform? Common sense. But he's hoping someone else can take on the responsibility.
"Somebody great is going to come up, I hope," he said. "I’d love to run for that kind of position to just have things be very common sense. There are so many things that this country needs to do that are so obvious."
