The Amy Fisher scandal is getting the "Snapped" treatment and victim Mary Jo Buttafuoco is getting in on the action.
In a preview for the Oxygen series' 24th season (!) premiere, Mary Jo shares "her side" of the story that made her, her then-husband Joey and Fisher infamous in the'90s.

View StoryThe trio shot to fame after Fisher shot Mary Jo in the head on May 19, 1992. Fisher, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, had been involved in an affair with Joey Buttafuoco. In an attempt to get Mary Jo out of the picture, Fisher fired a .25-caliber handgun at Joey's wife on the porch of their home.
The sneak peek claims they all became "addicted to fame" when the scandal exploded all over the news, with Buttafuoco herself admitting she could have handled things differently.
"I was the biggest news in town that day. This was my journey and during the course of it, I did a lot of things wrong," she says in the video.
"I made a lot of mistakes, I tried to do the best I can," she continues. "Nobody told me, 'Okay Mare, this is what happens when somebody comes to your house and shoots you in the head.' Everything that was before was then over."
Fisher served seven years behind bars for the crime and was released in 1999, while Joey served little more than four months of a six-month sentence for statutory rape. The Buttafuocos stayed together until Mary Jo filed for divorce in 2003. She has since remarried.
Buttafuoco has had numerous facial surgeries to repair the damage done 25 years ago, most recently chronicling her facial rejuvenation and reanimation on "Dr. Oz" in 2017.
