Ronnie Ortiz-Magro explains why he wasn't at the VMAs or other "Jersey Shore" related events in a lengthy Instagram post Tuesday morning.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro sent "Jersey Shore" fans into a frenzy when he didn't attend Monday's MTV Music Video Awards with his castmates, leaving many wondering about his fate on the MTV reboot, "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation."

But on Tuesday morning, Ronnie addressed the wild assumptions in a lengthy Instagram post he shared alongside a beautiful shot of his baby girl, Ariana Sky Magro.

"Everyone keeps asking where I've been, why wasn't I at the VMAs or other 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' events with my lovely castmates," he wrote. "I've chosen to take some time off to be a father to my beautiful daughter. I've got to experience everything in my life thankfully because of 'Jersey Shore' and my fans, [but] there's nothing that can replace the feeling of being a father."

Everyone keeps asking where I’ve been, Why wasn’t I at the #VMA’s or other #JSFV events with my lovely cast mates. I’ve chosen to take some time off to be a father to my beautiful daughter. I’ve got to experience everything in my life thankfully because of #JS & #MyFans. There’s nothing that can replace the feeling of being a father. Thank you for all the love & support and no I have not quit #jS. I am just choosing to take time so I can watch my daughter grow and be apart of a life not just in her life and be an amazing father. I rather be there for her in person than have to watch her grow through Text messages & IG posts. I can give her everything in the world but if I can’t give her a relationship or a bond than all of this is for nothing at the end of the day. #FeelingOfSeeingThatFaceInTheMorningIsIrreplacable#NeverKnowThatFeelingTillYouLookYourSeedInTheEyes #JSFV2 #PreimereThisJerzday

"Thank you for all the love and support, and no, I have not quit 'Jersey Shore,'" he continued. "I am just choosing to take time so I can watch my daughter grow and be apart of [her] life...and be an amazing father. "I can give her everything in the world, but if I can't give her a relationship or a bond, than all of this is for nothing at the end of the day," he concluded.

Ronnie had a rough time adjusting to the idea of fatherhood last season, but it looks like he's found his groove. He and his on-again, off-again baby mama, Jen Harley, were recently vacationing in Puerto Rico together.

But Season 2 of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" premieres this Thursday, and one thing we know for sure is that there will be drama between Ronnie and Jen.

Back in June, TMZ reported that Jen called the cops on Ronnie to report an argument. They had just started filming Season 2 in Las Vegas at the time. When cops arrived, Jen was nowhere to be found. Witnesses told cops Jen punched him in the head, spit on him, then took off. At the time, Ronnie told police they were arguing because he found their dog dead at the bottom of their pool.

Later that month, Jen was arrested for domestic violence after she allegedly dragged him with a car. Ariana, who was 2 months old at the time, was in vehicle.

On Season 1, Ronnie played with the line of infidelity when he brought home girls from the club, knowing Jen was back home pregnant with his baby. Toward the end of the season, he opened up about how he didn't trust her because she had been unfaithful in the past.

Season 2 of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" premieres this Thursday at 8 p.m. on MTV.
