The Bravo reality star admits Trump "says some crazy things," but overall is pleased with his performance as president.
The strong-willed attorney from one of the wealthiest areas of southern California made her political stance clear on Wednesday's "Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro," noting that she would probably be receiving some backlash for the admission.
During their hour-and-a-half chat, Undergaro brought up that people in Los Angeles tend to think people in Orange County are more conservative. He then asked Simpson if she and her Mormon husband, Shane, were "more on the right side of things."
"Are you asking me if I'm a Trump supporter?" she replied. "We did [vote for Trump]. My whole family did, yeah."
Simpson said that despite all of Trump's scandals and outrage-inducing behavior as president, she doesn't regret the decision she made in November of 2016.
"I mean, I'm probably going to get backlash for this, but you know, I would say I'm socially liberal," she explained. "I think people should live their life anyway they want to live their life. I just felt like Trump's views -- as far as the economy and jobs and things like that -- is what I align with."
"I felt like he puts the best interests of our country first," she continued. "I know he's a little out there and he says some crazy things, but I feel like his intentions, at the end of the day, are what's best for our nation as a whole."
When asked if she was happy with his performance so far, Emily fumbled over her words but eventually said, "Yeah, I mean, I think so. I don't know. I'm afraid to answer too much."
