Combine 5,000 pounds of Rice Krispies, 7,000 pounds of marshmallow and a reality show and you've got the recipe for the world's largest Rice Krispie Treat!
"MEGA BITES", a new TLC special, is aiming to create the 12,000 pound treat as part of a fundraiser for the children's arts program at the La Canada Flintridge community center in California.
A crew including a San Diego based chef, a "food scientist," an engineer and a ton of volunteers will have 48 hours to make the gargantuan goodie -- which will then be auctioned off, in pieces, to benefit the center.
The event takes place next week -- the special documenting the construction will air on TLC sometime this summer.
