Sandra Bullock stepped out in public a day earlier than expected -- and accepted a trophy at the Spike TV Guys Choice Awards last night before her appearance tonight on MTV.
Bullock, who hasn't done a public event since the Jesse James scandal broke, cracked jokes at her "personal life" during her acceptance speech for the "Troops Choice" award, saying:
"Let's be honest here, just for a moment. We're all going to be honest,right? Did I win this for beingentertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacularI.E.D. [improvised explosive device] explosion that became my personallife?!
"No, it's okay. Because I would do it over again if it was to entertainour troops, and our extraordinary troops deserve something much morethan some actress in a tight dress talking about herself."
"I would sing, but you've seen enough painin your lifetime. I would dance – I'm a pretty good dancer, but as Imentioned, the dress is pretty tight."
Bullock will also accept the Generation Award tonight at the MTV Movie Awards.
