Shakira and her longtime boyfriend Antonio de la Rua have gone their separate ways ... but the pair insists it's only a "temporary" split.
"During our almost 11 years together we have loved each other deeply, taken care of each other and stood by one another," the couple posted on Shakira's official website yesterday, "However, since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship."
"We view this period of separation as temporary and as a time of individual growth as we continue to be partners in our business and professional lives," they also write, adding that Antonio will continue to be her business manager.
Despite saying they split in August, the two were spotted kissing awkwardly back in November (above).
