It may have been Fergie's birthday, but the singer and her husband Josh Duhamel spent the day yesterday focued on something more important -- raising money for Japan.
The couple took park in the Youth Run 4 Japan in Santa Monica yesterday, a fundraising effort Duhamel organized with the help of the Red Cross to benefit the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The duo and over 4,000 runners including celebs like Paris and Nicky Hilton, "Glee" star Dianna Agron and actress Teresa Palmer attended the event -- which we're told raised "$150,000 and counting."
After the run, Duhamel tweeted "The youth of LA mobilized...we packed the beach and raised a ton of money for Japan! Thank you all for your compassion and support...you set a great example for the rest of the world! Much love," adding "Oh and PS...Happy Birthday to my lovely wife!"
Fergie, who turned 36 yesterday, was also serenaded with "Happy Birthday" by the crowd -- check out the video!
