Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and her husband, Prince William of Wales, visited the Summerfield Community Centre in Birmingham, England on Friday.
The royal couple were on hand to meet members of the community where the deadly riots occured last week. William and Kate offered their condolences to the parents of Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, who were mowed down fending off looters.
For the serious occasion, Kate donned military-inspired separates by Alexander McQueen (the same fashion house the designed her wedding gown). Her white, long-sleeved blouse retails for $1,315 and her black skirt with golden buttons retails for $915.

The Prince told reporters the royals are "full of admiration for the dignity of the families have shown dealing with their losses." Britain continues to recover after violent riots rocked several cities.
