If you missed the Super Bowl last night, not only did you miss a close game between the Giants and Patriots and a critic-splitting Madonna performance ... you also missed some great movie trailers!
The action in some of these previews was as exciting as action the on the field, as new sneak peeks at "The Avengers," "The Hunger Games," "Battleship," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and "John Carter" were heavy on fights and explosions.
Here's what you missed:
Marvel and Disney only played a :30 spot for "The Avengers" during the game, but they posted a longer, 1:00 trailer simultaneously online -- and it offered a killer look at The Hulk in action, plus a pretty amazing group shot of Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye together in battle.
Taylor Kitsch popped up in two different ads, first up in "John Carter." The trailer showed a barrage of new shots as Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" played in the background. The ad also promoted a pretty amazing giveaway -- explaining how you could win tickets to next year's Super Bowl!
Taylor's other appearance came in the new spot for "Battleship," which gave us a closer look at the aliens in the flick, the extraterrestrial attacks and even more shots of Rihanna. Is this looking like "Transformers at Sea" to anyone else?
We also got looks at "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "The Dictator," "Act of Valor," "The Lorax" and "The Hunger Games" -- click the titles to watch those trailers too.
