While the Prince is away the Duchess will ... work?
With Price William on a six-week deployment for the Royal Air Force in the Falkland Islands, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is using the time to visit all of the charities she supports, and stepped out for her first Wills-free public appearance on Wednesday.
Kate visited the National Portrait Gallery in London to take in an exhibit of British painter Lucian Freud's work. The Duchess was recently named a patron of the portrait gallery, and looked lovely in a double-breasted grey, tweed coat dress by designer Iabel Jesire.
Fun fact: Kate is no stranger to the art world -- she actually studied art history at St. Andrew's University, where she met her royal beau!
