"Diamonds" is the first single from Rihanna's upcoming album "Unapologetic." The music video just dropped, and some believe it's a nod to her tumultuous relationship with on/off ex, Chris Brown.
The music video opens with the Barbadian beauty rolling papers filled with diamonds, and plays with notions of finding light and escaping darkness throughout. There are shots that reference her relationship with Chris: her hands reach out to a man with a tattoo sleeve like Brown's, and she is seen running at night with car headlights behind her -- a recreation of their now-infamous night, perhaps?
The video ends with Rihanna floating in a water completely serene. Could it be interpreted she's found peace? And with whom? Herself? Chris?
