Tony Stark isn't going anywhere just yet.
Marvel just confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will be back as Iron Man and his billionaire alter-ego in the upcoming "The Avengers 2" -- which is slated for a May 2015 release -- and "The Avengers 3."
So far, there's no word on any additional solo movies for Downey Jr., who has expressed some disinterest in continuing his franchise in previous interviews.
"How many genre movies can I do? How many follow-ups to a successful follow-up are actually fun," he said to GQ back in April.
Glad to see he'll be returning to the fold!
Earlier this week, "Iron Man 3" crossed the $400 million mark at the domestic box office and $1.2 billion worldwide, making it the fifth grossing movie of all time.
