Kate Middleton is dripping in diamonds!
The Duchess of Cambridge completed her first royal engagement of 2014, stepping out at the National Portrait Gallery Gala in London on Tuesday.
She looked elegant in a deep blue silk Jenny Packham gown, adding a pop of bling with a beautiful diamond necklace she borrowed from Queen Elizabeth. She left her signature brunette locks down with loose curls.
"The Gallery's achievements are exceptional. They hold the most extensive collection of portraits in the world, and their unique and brilliant exhibitions never fail to inspire us all," she said in a speech at the event. "But, it is more than simply a world-renowned visitor's attraction – the Gallery's outreach and research programs makes it one of the leading centres for the important study into portraiture. I simply could not be more proud to be its Patron."
"Thank you for being here tonight and showing your support," she added. "I hope that you all have a wonderful evening."
The brunette beauty has stayed busy since giving birth to Prince George back in July.
So, what's next for the new mom? Kate will be spending Valentine's Day opening the ICAP Art Room at Northolt High School in Ealing London.
