The "Gossip Girl" alum showed off her tiny frame on the red carpet at the "Mr.Turner" premiere at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Thursday.
The actress donned a heavily embroidered white Chanel Couture gown, complete with a corset that cinched in at her already skinny waist. She opted for her signature California cool hairstyle, leaving her blonde locks down with perfectly tousled curls.
This isn't the first time we've seen Chanel's optical illusion designs take center stage.
Keira Knightley showed off her equally-small midsection at the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2014, sporting a black-and-white optical illusion dress that featured a full skirt with a super-tight-fitting cinched waist.
Rihanna, who is currently the face of the famed fashion house, chose a sporty version of the frock and looked lovely in a lavender design. She teamed her ensemble with a matching fanny pack and tennis shoes, an oversized pearl bracelet and a soft pink lipstick.
Regardless of whether the Karl Lagerfeld design is your cup of tea, this new trend is likely here to stay. It is essentially a more dramatic update on the crop top craze that swept through Hollywood this past season and also drew attention to the tiny waists of many A-list women.
