If anyone can get to the bottom of the big #TheDress debate, it's Ellen DeGeneres!
The talk show host devoted an entire segment of her show on Tuesday to the garment that has divided the nation. For the record, Ellen sees white and gold.
"The whole world is divided about the color of the dress. Taylor Swift said she thinks it's blue and black. So does Justin Bieber."
"Kanye West sees white and gold, Kim Kardashian sees blue and black. It's tearing apart friendships and families. This is why I don't wear dresses. That's the reason right there," she joked about the trending topic. "The reason this dress looks different is because the dress is an optical illusion created by the devil."
Later in the show, Ellen brought out the people who started it all: Caitlin McNeill, who posted the picture to Tumblr, newlyweds Grace MacPhee and Keir Johnston, and the owner of the dress, Cecilia Bleasdale.
Grace explained that her mom sent her a picture of three dresses and asked which one she liked best for her wedding. Grace chose the "white and gold dress" which sparked the great debate.
Eventually, Grace's friend Caitlin posted the photo to Tumblr and in a matter of hours the internet blew up.
"Within half an hour it was on Twitter and then someone just texted me and said can you just search 'TheDress' on twitter?" she explained. "And I was like sure, and then hundreds and hundreds of pictures of this dress in tweets just amazing."
