Jaden and Willow Smith prove that they're nothing like most regular kids in their latest interview with Billboard magazine.
In the March 14 issue, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's youngest children open up about their "super cool" famous parents, new music and their unique fashion aesthetic.
And you thought their T magazine interview was odd... keep reading below for the interview highlights.
1.) Their Parents Are Way Cooler Than Yours!
"My dad is awesome. I wouldn't be where I am right now if it wasn't for all of the things he's taught me," Jaden reveals to the mag. "He's taught me a lot about driving and just about life. And I love his songs, I go back and re-listen to those songs and the newer songs he's made in the studio too."
"When I was younger, my brother and I toured with my mom's band, Wicked Wisdom, so heavy metal was one of the first types of music I heard a lot and I'm still really inspired by it," Willow says of their actress mom. "My mom listens to my playlists on Hype Machine all the time and I listen to hers -- that's how I found out about Radiohead and Lamb of God."
Wow, Will and Jada sound so hip!
2.) Willow Hates Auto-Tune
The 16 and 14-year-old both dropped new material late last years, Jaden with his mixtape Cool Tape Vol. 2 and Willow with her EP 3.
"I don't like having any effects on my voice, I feel like putting a lot of Auto-Tune on it really covers up the essence of you and is like putting a cloud over real true emotion," she explains. "Shaving my hair made my inner light grow and shine even more, I really like who I'm evolving to be."
So young, but so wise.
3.) They Describe Their Style As Nomad Meets Einstein
"High-fashion nomad," Willow says of her style. "I could literally climb a mountain and survive a couple nights in nature. That's a requirement for my clothes because one day I was on the freeway and I saw a mountain, so I literally just pulled over and climbed it."
Jaden draws inspiration from elsewhere ...
"Einstein didn't really like to change clothes because he had too much other stuff to worry about and I'm the same. All black is pretty much my go-to look. If somebody is just wearing something for the blogs, that's really sad because they're not living for themselves, versus someone wearing a kimono who's having an awesome time."
