Now that's how you make a statement on the red carpet!
Anna Chlumsky commanded everyone's attention at the New York City premiere of "Veep" on Monday night, stepping out in a plunging burgundy and white midi dress.
The actress paired her figure-hugging look with classic pumps, a killer red lip and a bold braided 'do from celebrity hair stylist Sarah Potempa.
We fell in love with the striking hairstyle when Amanda Seyfried sported it last month, but this former child star is totally rocking the unconventional look!
The 34-year-old beauty, who is most famous for her 1991 role in "My Girl," has come a long way since her days as the lovable Vada Sultenfuss.
She took a six-year break from acting to go to college. So, was it difficult to return to the spotlight?
"It was in the sense that it was a complete shift—going from a kid to an adult is a big difference," she recently told Interview magazine. "[But] I got some good advice to get some training—and I did get training. It's [also] difficult because you don't make money right away; it's a lot about paying your dues at first and a lot of beating the pavement, so that really does test your mettle. There are definitely really scary days where you're like, 'Holy crap, am I even going to get to pay rent?'"
"But I also was so completely enamored with the profession once I got back into it that, even when I don't know how I'm going to [pay my rent], I still would rather be doing this, and have it be this scary, than doing anything else," she continued. "Emotionally, it was taxing, but it still always felt right and always felt good."
We have a feeling we're going to see a lot more of Anna -- check her out when "Veep" returns to HBO on April 12.
