Valeria Lukyanova took to Facebook on Thursday, after the latest photos of her newly-buff body went viral this week.
In the lengthy message, which was written in Ukrainian and then roughly translated by numerous outlets, the model goes in on her haters and reveals the inspiration behind her latest looks.
"It is a pity that most people choose the path of degradation," she starts. "If they see a man who has succeeded with something better than they are, they are ready to literally tear. Especially often I see it on the Internet."
She says that most people "write in such a frenzy [of] nastiness that I have the impression [they believe] that I have stolen the last piece of bread" or done something that "spoiled [their] very existence."
"I am certainly still far from ideal, very far," she continues. "But I strive for athleticism. So funny that girls and boys from sporting groups write such nasty things about my body. So much negativity."
Valeria adds that she decided to get toned after being attacked last October.
"Since then, I decided to seek not just relief, but good and strong muscles like a female warrior Amazons," she writes. "I was inspired by the Queen of the Amazons-Medusa. Her body is perfect, I think."
