The final "Paranormal Activity" film is on its way ... and it's finally promising some answers!
After four previous outings and a spinoff, "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension" is set to wrap up all the loose strings from the incredibly popular horror franchise.
The first trailer for the film hit late last night, teasing the truth behind Katie and Kristi's creepy childhood, the identity of Toby and hinting at what really happened to little Hunter.
"This is it, the finale," producer Jason Blum tells USA Today. "We're saying it before the movie opens. We're not going to grind this horror franchise into the ground. This will keep 'Paranormal Activity' as part of this culture and this particular time in a really fantastic way."
This time around, a family moves into a new home, only to find a box of tapes and an old video camera in their garage. What's on the tapes, you ask? Footage of Katie and Kristi's interactions with their grandmother, who killed their parents along with the help of her coven in the third film.
We also see Bloody Mary make her return and a priest say another little girl is "part of a prophecy." Eeek!
The sneak peek promises "Every Secret Will Be Revealed" -- with Blum promising that the film is the "end of this 'Paranormal' line for sure."
We'll see for sure when "The Ghost Dimension" hits theaters -- in 3D no less -- on October 23, 2015.
