It's been a tough year for the Giudices.
On Monday's "Watch What Happens Live," host Andy Cohen gave viewers a new sneak peek of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In" special.
In the clip, we see Teresa Giudice's eldest daughter Gia's emotional reaction when she calls the family from prison.
Check out the video above to see the 14-year-old's teary-eyed conversation.
"Is your makeup on?" Teresa asks Gia, as the teen tries to fight back her tears.
"My mom doesn't want me or anyone to get emotional, so I try my best just to keep it all together," Gia says later in the clip, during a one-on-one interview.
The 43-year-old first started serving her time in a Connecticut detention center last January -- but, if all goes to plan, the mother-of-four will hopefully be home for the holidays.
"Several months back we were able to secure an early release date of Dec. 23," the reality star's attorney James L. Leonard Jr. told People earlier this year. "That means Teresa will leave the prison on Dec. 23 and go home and sleep in her own bed. Two days later she will wake up and celebrate Christmas with Joe and her girls."
Unfortunately, after Teresa returns home, her husband Joe Giudice will begin serving his subsequent prison sentence for the couple's March 2014 fraud indictment.
