Surprise, Tyra Banks is a new mama!
The "America's Next Top Model" host just shocked us all by announcing she and boyfriend Erik Asla just are the proud parents of a newborn baby boy.
"The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," Banks captioned a photo of a knit baby hat on Instagram. "He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."
Asla, a Norwegian photographer, and Banks started dating about 2 years ago. This is their first child.
Banks was very open about her struggle to conceive on her former talk show, "FABLife," in an episode that aired back in September.
"We're kind of going through this similar thing with IVF," she said at the time. "And, you know, putting needles in your tummy every day and having to come to work and smile when you feel like you want to throw up and lay down...I can't believe I'm saying this right now."
"Just remember, you never, ever know what somebody is going through," she continued.
"And for any women, it is none of your business what somebody is going through," she added. "Whether they want to have a child or don't ever want to have a child or may have a child on the way, it's none of your business, okay? Until somebody wants to make it your business."
Like Banks, cohost Chrissy Teigen was also struggling to conceive at the time -- now, Banks has a kid and Chrissy has one on the way!
