Can we talk about how amazing Katie Holmes looked on the red carpet on Wednesday night?
The actress stunned in a navy gown that hung in all the right places at the premiere of "Touched by Fire," Katie showing some serious skin as from the profile and back thanks to a sexy cutout.
The "Dawson's Creek" alum was joined by designer Zac Posen, who created the gorgeous dress, at the event, where he said the look was a collaborative effort.
"It was a pleasure to dress her, a joy, because she is a friend,” Posen told People. "She loves clothing. We text ideas to each other. We thought, 'Do we do a gown, a suit? But we decided she needed to bring the glamour."
She sure did!
toofab's Brian Particelli chatted with Katie's costar Luke Kirby and director Paul Dalio at SXSW, where they opened up about the paparazzi attention that comes along with making a film starring Holmes.
"We once almost had a paparazzi gang fight on the Lower East Side with this guy we were renting this park from," Dalio explains. "He was really protective of us. When the paparazzi came, a fight almost broke out. He was saying he was going to stab some guy in the neck! Our crew came in, mediated the peace, these paparazzi, they're good at what they do."
For Kirby, he says having all the photographers chase them around almost helped the two actors get in touch with their characters, who are manic-depressives in the film.
"It was kind of funny. A lot of time Katie and I were playing people running around Manhattan in a frenzied state, it sort of was a bit, peripherally, was a bit of an interesting buzz," adds Kirby. "The flashbulbs can feel like the excitement of a mania. In that way, I didn't find it all that distracting. It is very strange, it's a funny aspect of the world."
"Touched by Fire" lands in theaters tomorrow.
