We all expected Chris Rock to make jokes about the lack of diversity at the Oscars, but we didn't expect an appearance by Stacey Dash!
The notoriously-outspoken actress hit the stage right after a skit that inserted black actors into all the Best Picture nominees, another jab at the Academy for failing to recognize African American stars.
"It's hard to get a job," Rock joked. "But let me tell you some good news. The Academy has taken steps to fix this problem. That's why it's my honor to introduce the new director of our minority outreach program. Please welcome Miss Stacey Dash."
The audience seemed confused as the Fox News correspondent walked out and announced, "I cannot wait to help my people out."
"Happy Black History Month!" she added, before giving a quick laugh and a "Thank you."
Now that's awkward!
In case you missed it, Stacey's cameo poked fun at her infamously-controversial comments that America should do away with Black History Month (and BET, among other things).
While we were left scratching our heads about her appearance, it seems some A-listers were just as puzzled.
John Legend took to Twitter to point out that Dash made Chrissy Teigen cringe (see photo evidence below), and Shonda Rhimes also put in her two cents. Check out more tweets below:

Let me be petty: I had fashion goals 4 dress Dash wore and now the gown has to be dead to me. Yes, #askmemore but #doNOTwastefashiononfool.
