Even after they're over, the Academy Awards are under fire!
Abe Vigoda, who gave a legendary performance as Sal Tessio in "The Godfather," was left off the Oscar's In Memoriam reel on Sunday, in a move that's ignited widespread criticism - including from Vigoda's own daughter.
Vigoda turned out to be the death that cried wolf. His passing was rumored so often in the past couple of decades that when it finally happened in 2015, maybe the Academy just didn't believe it!
Also excluded from the reel was Tony Burton, acting mainstay of the "Rocky" movies. That's right - a "Rocky" spin-off got an Oscar nod this year, and they STILL left one of the franchise's scions out. Burton's death was only days ago though -- late notice for a clip reel.
Abe and Tony, however, are far from the first time the Oscars broadcast invited controversy with its In Memoriam snubs.
