Even Mariah Carey can cop to some style regrets.
The pop star gets candid about her evolving style in a new interview with PrideSource magazine, where she reveals what she would tell her younger self about her style.
Back in the '90s, the "Butterfly" singer was known for her curls, dark lipstick and affinity for black clothing ... a look she's glad has stayed in the past.
"I was such a kid, just in over my head, but I knew that I was gonna do this for my life and so I probably would've been like,'Who does your hair and makeup?'" she told the mag. "'Cause they had me with some people who didn't know what they were doing, and I knew it wasn't really good, and I'd just be like, 'Who does your lighting, hair and makeup?'"
"They did [dress me in a lot of black]," she said of her dark look. "It was just like, ahhh, such a long story. You don't even wanna know."
Today, Carey's a big fan of evening gowns, sequins and lingerie. She even says that all of those photos on her Instagram account of her wearing silky getups show what she actually wears around her house on the daily.

"It was real! That's what I walk around in!" she said of the photo above. "I barely own any clothes! All I have is friggin' lingerie."
We love how the "One Sweet Day" singer has no problem being her glamorous self!
