The men were dapper as they come at the 2017 Oscars. From velvet suit jackets to 50 shades of blue, this year saw a departure from the usual black and white tuxedo.

Some may think that these red carpets are important only to the women who arrive in jaw-dropping couture gowns, but we should't underestimate the importance of a tailored suit, groomed facial hair and perfectly paired dress shoes.

  • The Rock looks good in anything, but this blue number is one that we will surely remember for years to come.

  • Mahershala Ali in Zenga. The "Moonlight" star looked absolutely phenomenal in a tailored black-on-black suit.

  • Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford. As classic as they come, Timberlake can't stop making us feel like we're looking at red carpet perfection.

  • Dev Patel in Burberry. The "Lion" star took a successful risk wearing a white jacket that perfectly highlighted that amazing facial hair.

  • Ryan Gosling in Gucci. The "La La Land" star looked like absolute perfection in this perfectly tailored number with ruffle detailed dress shirt.
